Tents are not only associated with camping but also with human aid. The series 'Shelter' is based on the vulnerability of aid workers: they -litterally- stick out their necks and take up a vulnerable position. The typical outfit for aid workers (like orange smocks with fluorescent stripes) is used for making the tent.
The holes through which the head is stuck offer no protection.
